Description
A friend arranged an airplane tour of Grand Island in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We flew with the passenger door off so we could have a relatively unobstructed line of sight for our subjects. This is the Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse, which overlooks Munising Bay. The structure is abandoned, but restoration work has been done to maintain the integrity of the building and add some details that had fallen off over the years. It is a popular photo stop for several boat tours that originate from Munising.
